The Eagle Sword NKA is a 7'0 stock twin fin, an eggy pintail with low volume and fine rails that turned out to be one of the faster boards in the sold register.
What it is and why I bought it
I bought the NKA stock in June 2020, a PU board with a flattish rocker, soft and thin rails, and a bottom running from a slight single into a double vee, into a four-channel concave, finished with a rounded pin tail. At 21 1/4 inches wide and 43 litres over 7'0, the register describes it as liking anything from 1 to 5 ft, with low volume and fine rails as its defining feel.
It came in a cream colourway.
How it surfed
Its best wave came at Granite, at a top speed of 29.7 km/h (about 18.5 mph) over a 165 metre ride, using a BMT or Amano fin. It confirmed the board's low-volume, fine-rail character delivered genuine speed and responsiveness across a wide 1 to 4 ft window, ideal at 2 ft, rather than needing size to perform.
Who it suits and who it does not
A low-volume, fine-railed twin fin egg like this suits someone comfortable riding under volume for the sake of a more responsive, sensitive feel underfoot. It is a weaker match for a heavier rider or anyone wanting a more forgiving, higher-volume platform.
What happened to it
It sold on 4 November 2025 for $850, against a $1,400 purchase cost. A replacement cost of $1,890 is also logged against it, for comparison against what it originally cost.
