The Album Lightbender is a 6'4 twin fin bought secondhand from someone selling it after only a couple of rides, and it turned into a genuine everyday board before moving on for exactly what it cost.
What it is and why I bought it
I bought this Lightbender in April 2023, a PU board with low rails and a bottom running from an early single concave into a late double vee, finished with a swallow tail. At 21 inches wide and 45 litres over 6'4, it was picked up secondhand rather than ordered new, one of those cases where someone else's lightly ridden board becomes a good match.
How it surfed
Its best wave came at Granite, at a top speed of 23.5 km/h (about 14.6 mph) over a 234 metre ride, using an Album mod keel fin. Logged simply as an every day board, it did exactly that job, covering ordinary conditions without asking for anything special.
Who it suits and who it does not
A low-railed, swallow-tail twin fin like this suits someone after a dependable, everyday board for small to medium surf, particularly someone open to buying a good board secondhand rather than new. The logged wave range is 2 to 6 ft, ideal at 2 ft, so it is not the pick for anyone chasing size or a specialist shape.

It sold on 27 October 2025 for $1,000, the same amount it cost to buy, a clean result that reflects how little a well-kept secondhand board sometimes loses in value over its time in a rack.
